Does the entrance not look like something from Harry Potter !? |
I mean, which hotel have you been to that has a Nespresso machine... |
And then the bath at night... |
Ooof, I know I said the Ritz-Carlton Pudong was the best hotel ever, but this one definitely gives it a run for its money...
The spa is definitely in there for a reason. This hotel does give off an ambient, almost resort like feel. The interior design colour palette is mostly dark but warm burgundy, ethereal tones. I definitely felt relaxed right as I stepped into it's grand Harry Potter-esque lobby.
My favourite thing about this hotel, wasn't it's design, smart room layout of cutting the room vertically instead of horizontally to give maximum capacity to the bedroom and bathroom, but its highly attentive staff and service.
We did not stay in an executive suite or anything of the sort, but the service definitely made me feel very special. (Much better service than even the executive suites at Ritz-Carlton)
Never have I been to a hotel where you have a turn-down service everyday, fresh fruit and your ICE BUCKET full (how awesome is that) and cups and water bottles prepped on your dining table. In the mornings when I was in a rush and left my makeup messily scattered all over the bathroom, the staff neatly placed and arranged them on my dresser. They even tidied and untangled all my charger cables (and let me tell you, those bad boys are hard to untangle, which is why I left them like that for a while...).
Another thing that made my heart flitter was the organic soaps and bathroom amenities they provided :3
Also, have you ever been to a hotel with a Nespresso machine and free mini bar!? I know these aren't necessities, I don't even drink coffee and anything besides water usually for that matter but it was so nice to just be able to grab a juice out the fridge and play with the little cute Nespresso things hehehe.
If you have breakfast included, you get to order from the made-to-cook menu free of charge, and it has the likes of eggs benedict, dumplings, pancakes, stir fried noodles, yummy, yummy, yummy.
Location: Is awesome. It's right opposite the Jing An Kerry (Hong Kong) Shopping centre, that boasts luxury brands and a food court of international cuisines. It is also in Shanghai's epicentre, Jing An (walking distance to Jing An Temple and various shopping centres)
Downside: The hotel has it's own scent, which is some liquorice style sent (bleurgh). But that's just my little pet peeve ^^

I stayed there a month ago and really miss the bath tub :/
