Now let's check out the gym facilities...
And let's not forget the food...
Easily, one of the best hotels hands down.
In this hotel, literally everything comes with a view (if Shanghai's being nice to you and has cleared up on its fog issue).
Whether you're checking in at the lobby, look left and bam, there's your 57th floor view of Pudong, Shanghai. Or, if you're relaxing in your luxurious room, bam, there's your giant windowful of view. Even when I was at the gym, running on the treadmill is so much easier when you're looking out at the beautiful city skyline. And then the next morning at breakfast, I'm stuffing my face full of food and bam, that view.
My mum came here for a business trip, and her company paid for an executive suite. And of course, I had to go reap those benefits.
The room was...extravagant. I've never been in an executive suite before, but yeah that's what I'm talkin bout.
However, it is very pricey (a night on this floor will set you back about $1,500AUD) and personally I would not want to spend that much money on accommodation. But when it's free...why not enjoy myself hehe
Apart from having a very helpful service (they even offered to carry my bags each time I was leaving the building), the hotel boasts a beautiful Gossip Girl feeling lobby bar, and a gorgeous roof top restaurant & bar, Flair. It is also situated on the Hong Kong owned international and luxury brands mall, Iapm and across the road from Shanghai's Super Brand Mall for all your more cheaper and day to day brands.
If you just want to go check it out for it's view, the balcony of Flair on the top floor is open to the public so you can always pop by for a picture or two !
Downside: It's located in Pudong, which is basically like the Docklands of Melbourne (if you get what I mean). Very modern, but a bit empty and there's not a lot to do there. You'll have to travel about an hour to get to the more popular areas of Shanghai.
